Franziska Maderthaners Arbeit is “Fluide Metamalerei”. In ihren höchst eigensinnigen Bildern verwandelt sie den Titanenkampf Abbild gegen Abstraktion in Variantenreichste Tänze. Je länger man sie betrachtet, umso mehr beginnen tradierte Bildbedeutungen und Sehgewohnheiten zu schwingen und zu fließen.
Franziska Maderthaner kombiniert in ihren Bildern Abstraktion und gegenständliche Malerei in ihren beiden Extremen. Ihre Farbschüttungen erinnern dabei an amorphe Biologismen oder an Bilder von Google Earth.
„Negotium“ recalls West’s „Otium“ and represents Ryslavy’s „Verkaufswerk“ number 23, 47 and 48. It is an artist’s book and simultaneously a “sales catalogue” of three Franz West works.

Marcelle is best known for her colorful large scale paintings, as well as her dramatic video works. She focuses on human needs and desires, lusts and passions, which are lived out individually and in the group.
Without considering pre-historic cave painting, egg tempera is, after encaustic, the oldest painting technique known. Favored by the ancient Greeks and Egyptians, it is most familiar to contemporary society through its use in Medieval and early Renaissance art and in Christian religious painting of the Byzantine era.
